Hey hi. Hello. When you’re reading this, I’ll be sleeping, most likely.
You see, this weekend, I went to Pitfest and saw acts such as Gorilla Biscuits, Judge, Cro-Mags, Midnight, Ter Ziele and a whole bunch of cool other bands. I also shot a bunch of photos of said bands.
But I’m over 40. And staying up past 10pm now comes with a hefty price to pay. So this week, it’s just gonna be some loose topics for y’all.
Next week, let’s discuss the bands of Pitfest. And I’ll show ya some photos.
Crawling back into my bed.
THESE TOPICS ARE LOOSE, BRUV!
The big surprise of Pitfest for me? The Good, the Bad and the Zugly! What a band, what a live show, give it a listen.
What can I say? I love a good recommended reading list, so here’s one from the New York Times. A few I’ve put on my "To Read" list: Troubleman, by K’wan, Whistler, by Ann Pratchett, Country People, by Daniel Mason, and Man Overboard!, by Kathleen Rooney.
What I also love? A good magazine cover! And Coverjunkie delivers with covers from around the world and interviews with the people designing them.
Read a few good articles this week that I’d like to share:
Photographic memory? There’s no such thing. An interesting breakdown of a myth that just doesn’t seem to go away.
A great take on the beauty of limited choices. Or: why Costco has something to teach the internet.
Another thing that’s great: EU rules making big tech companies be more consumer friendly. Like how Nintendo will soon sell a Switch 2 in the EU that has a replaceable battery. Love this for us.
